Invitation: HBP Youth in Horticulture policy dialogue

The Horticulture Business Platform (HBP) will convene the Youth in Horticulture Policy Dialogue on Friday, 23rd October 2026, bringing young people together to share their experiences and contribute to conversations about the future of Ghana’s horticulture sector.

The Dialogue is designed for young people working in horticulture, running agribusinesses, or looking to build a future within the sector.

A Conversation Shaped by Young People

Young people play an important role across Ghana’s horticulture value chain, but their experiences can vary widely. The Dialogue will create a space for participants to speak openly about the realities of entering, growing and succeeding in the sector.

The conversation will focus on four key areas:

• Sharing experiences: Discussing the challenges young people face in horticulture.
• Identifying opportunities: Exploring opportunities across the value chain and what young people need to take advantage of them.
• Making their voices heard: Engaging with sector stakeholders and contributing perspectives to the policy conversation.
• Shaping practical recommendations: Identifying solutions that can inform policymakers and other key stakeholders.

The Dialogue aims to move beyond simply discussing challenges. It will give young people an opportunity to contribute ideas and recommendations towards the kind of horticulture sector they want to work, build businesses and grow in.

At the heart of the Dialogue is a simple message:

Your Voice. Your Sector. Your Future.
